Project Desription:
Construction of a 300m long new section of carriageway and footway in St Giles High Street. Works included bulk excavation, drainage works, Carriageway & Footway construction works. Diversion of existing utilities, relocation of existing traffic signals, CCTV and crossing points, new signage and road-markings. Provision of full time Traffic Management services for all works.
Construction of “Bank of Ducts” cable and service bridges in Charing Cross road. Works included Piling works, earthworks materials disposal, guide-wall construction, pile cap construction, bearing shelf works, duct laying and reinstatement for 2 No. permanent utility services bridge in Charing Cross road. Provision and maintenance of traffic management systems 24 hours a day.
Enabling works included numerous service diversions including the deep excavation and reinstatement (5m deep) of Sutton Row for a Thames Water Sewer diversion.
Permanent Traffic Management alterations to Denmark Street to facilitate a revised contra flow bus lane on Charingcross Rd. |
